ATTENDANCE AND CLASS PARTICIPATION
Students are expected to follow the school’s attendance policy. Unexcused absences will negatively affect the student’s participation grade. In accordance with school policy, more than nine unexcused absences in a semester for any full year course will result in denial of credit for the course. More than five unexcused absences in a semester for any half year course will result in denial of credit for the course. Poor attendance, late assignments, tardiness, misuse of materials, breaking classroom rules, and uncooperative behavior will negatively affect the student’s class participation grade.

SAFETY
Safety in the art room is extremely important. Students are expected to consider the safety of themselves and of others while using any sharp or pointed tools. Any student who intentionally misuses any sharp or pointed tools will be prohibited from further use of that tool and will receive a zero for the project. All incidents involving the misuse of these tools will be reported to a school official and a parent or guardian. All injuries should be promptly reported to the teacher.
COMPUTER USE
Students are expected to abide by the schools computer use policy while in class. The internet is to be used only for class assignments.
CLASS RULES
Be on time to class
Wear your mask at all times
Remain in your seat until the dismissal bell rings
Store personal Items in the designated area, keep floors clear for walking and tables clear for working.
Work consistently the entire period
Use appropriate language
No Cell Phones other personal electronics.
Be Respectful of everyone
Passes are for the bathroom and the nurse only
Take care of all supplies and equipment
Clean up after yourself and return all supplies when you are finished with them
No food or drinks in the computer lab

60% Projects
40% Participation (attendance, time on task, attitude) includes caring for you supply kit
